For single men, a program may involve donor eggs, IVF using their own sperm and a gestational surrogate. Before proceeding, the relevant professionals assess medical suitability, eligibility, parentage recognition and the documents your child will need to travel home. Aurum coordinates each step with our partner clinics in Yerevan.

1

Legal path

After a DNA test, you are registered as the father on the birth certificate.

2

Donor egg matching

Detailed anonymous donor profiles with photos, background and health history.

3

Short trips

Usually 2–3 days for the IVF stage and 3–5 weeks for the birth.

4

Embassy experience

We prepare the documents your country asks single fathers for.

Who qualifies

  • You are a single man
  • You will be the biological father — your own sperm is used
  • Eggs come from an anonymous, screened donor; a gestational surrogate carries the pregnancy
  • Same-sex couples cannot start a joint program under Armenian law
  • Choosing the baby’s sex is not permitted, except in the limited cases in Article 11(3) of Armenian law

How the program works

  1. Free consultation — we check the rules of your home country first.
  2. Agreement — contract, staged payments and escrow.
  3. Sperm analysis — frozen sperm can be shipped to Yerevan if you prefer.
  4. Egg donor selection from anonymous profiles.
  5. IVF/ICSI at our partner clinics; optional genetic testing of embryos for medical reasons.
  6. Surrogate matching and embryo transfer.
  7. Pregnancy with monthly updates.
  8. Birth, DNA test, birth certificate listing you as the father.
  9. Passport or travel document and the trip home.
Check your home country first. Some countries ask single fathers for extra documents, such as the surrogate’s consent or a court order. We review this before you sign anything.

Frequently asked questions

Whose name is on the birth certificate?

After the DNA test, only the father is listed on the Armenian birth certificate; the egg donor and the surrogate are not. How your home country treats this certificate is a separate question, which we check with you before you sign.

Can I choose the baby’s sex?

No. Choosing a baby’s sex is not permitted under Armenian law, except in the limited cases set out in Article 11(3): a risk of a sex-linked inherited disease, or a family that already has three children of the same sex.

Can I bring frozen sperm?

Yes, through a specialised cryo-transport company. We arrange the paperwork with the clinic.

How long will I stay in Armenia after the birth?

Usually 3–5 weeks, depending on how quickly your embassy issues the documents. See bringing your baby home.
