Living with HIV does not automatically rule out fertility treatment. The partner clinic’s specialists review your treatment history and test results and determine which options and protocols are appropriate. Aurum coordinates appointments and communication within the arrangements agreed for your care.
An individual protocol
The clinic’s doctors choose the protocol for your case. When the sperm provider is HIV-positive, this usually means sperm washing and ICSI; when the egg provider or the woman carrying the pregnancy is HIV-positive, the plan is different and is set by the infectious-disease specialist.
Undetectable viral load
Stable antiretroviral therapy is the foundation of a safe program.
Surrogacy when needed
For single fathers, or when pregnancy is not advised for medical reasons.
Confidentiality and consent
Relevant information is shared with authorized people where needed for assessment, treatment, informed consent or legal obligations. The team explains how information is used and what must be disclosed before the program proceeds.

Is the baby at risk of HIV?
With effective treatment, an undetectable viral load and the right protocol, the risk is very low, but it is assessed for each case. Your doctors explain the exact protocol and the remaining risk for your situation.
Will the surrogate know my HIV status?
Yes. Before she agrees to the transfer, the surrogate is informed of the medical facts that matter for her health and her informed consent. Beyond that, your information is kept strictly confidential.
Can both partners be HIV-positive?
Possibly — the clinic assesses each case individually. Contact us with your results.
Do I need to travel more often?
No. The trips are the same as in a standard program: IVF stage and birth.
